Lago Vista is located 20 miles north of Austin in the Texas hill country. The area is covered with pine trees and offers visitors numerous outdoor recreational opportunities. Public and private campgrounds are available for tent and RV camping, and the town has dining and shopping. While camping in Lago Vista, you will find hiking trails, biking trails and lakes for boating, fishing and swimming.

Idyll Glen RV Park

This RV park is within minutes of Lake Travis and has scenic views of the hill country. The park is open year-round and has a clubhouse, paved sites, wireless Internet, cable television, recreation hall, exercise equipment, laundry facilities, showers and a dump station. The location is ideal for hiking and biking in the hill country and fishing and boating on Lake Travis. Lago Vista offers shopping and dining, and the park is less than 30 miles from Austin, where you will find an active night life and big city events. Pace Bend Park

From Lago Vista, you can reach the park by boat or you can take a short drive around Lake Travis. The park sits on over nine miles of Lake Travis shoreline and offers visitors opportunities for fishing, hiking, biking, swimming and boating. It has over 400 primitive campsites with picnic tables and RV sites with hookups for water and electric. The park has a loop road for access to the lake and campsites and the interior of the park is managed as a wildlife preserve and can only be accessed by foot, bike or horse. Most of the campsites are within a short walk of the lake and the park has restrooms, showers, drinking water, two boat ramps, barbecue grills and fire rings, picnic tables and an RV dump station.

A Mountain Top RV Park

Located less than 8 miles from Lago Vista, this RV park has views of Lake Travis and the surrounding hill country. The park is pet- and family-friendly and has laundry facilities, telephone access and high ratings from RV Park Reviews.com. It is in a quiet location, and the mountain top site allows unobstructed scenery of the area. It is also within minutes of shopping, dining and recreational opportunities.
