Red River, New Mexico is located 36 miles northeast of Taos and is within the boundaries of Carson National Forest. Originally begun as a mining camp, Red River's economy now relies heavily on tourism with the winter skiing season drawing travelers from all over the country. Summer also provides ample opportunity for outdoor recreation, including fishing, hiking, mountain biking and nature viewing.

RoadRunner RV Park

RoadRunner RV Park is a 25-acre RV park located just a mile away from the center of Red River, New Mexico. Large sites provide plenty of space for any size RV/camper trailer and every site is equipped with full water, sewer and electrical hookups. In addition each site features cable TV, and barbecue grills and picnic tables are spread throughout the park for campers to use. The park office features a convenience store, gift shop and RV supplies store. Daily and monthly rates are available, and all RV reservations must be done through the mail. Guests are charged an extra fee for dogs. Tennis courts, basketball courts and horseshoe pits are available on site. The Red River runs through the center of RoadRunner RV Park providing both fishing and excellent scenery.

Red River RV Park

Red River RV Park is located on the western edge of Red River New Mexico, and features grass RV sites situated along the banks of the Red River. Full hookups include water, sewer and both 30- and 50-amp electrical service; cable TV hookup is also available at each site. Red River RV Park offers public showers and coin operated laundry facilities. Cabin and yurt rentals are available for additional guests. Red River RV Park is ideally situated for downhill skiers, less that one-half a mile from the Red River Ski Area. Summer outdoor activities include fishing in the Red River for rainbow trout, hiking, mountain biking and wildlife viewing.

River Ranch

River Ranch features RV camping sites with water and electrical hookups. Some but not all sites feature include sewer hookup, and satellite TV is available on some sites as well. Guests may set up a tent in addition to the RV on all but the pull- through sites. Daily, monthly and seasonal rates are available. A bathhouse, dump station and laundry facilities are available for campers on site. Popular summer outdoor activities include fishing, hiking, cycling and nature viewing. A few sites are open in the winter when downhill and cross country skiing are popular.
