Winnemucca, Nevada is a small community in the north-central portion of the state. Hiking and mountain biking is found in the region, as well as fishing, rock-climbing, bouldering, and geo-caching. Water Canyon Recreational Area is within 45 minutes and has opportunities for canoeing and fishing. There are several RV parks in Winnemucca and the surrounding countryside.

Hi-Desert RV Park

Hi-Desert RV Park has sites for most RV sizes. There are large pull-through sites. Sites have 30- or 50-amp electric, sewer, water, cable TV and Wi-Fi connections. Bathrooms and showers, a swimming pool, laundry room, guest house, barbecue facilities and dump station are at the Hi-Desert for guest use. Pets are allowed if leashed. There are two dog runs and play areas where four-legged friends can romp off-leash. Hinkey Summit Trail is within 45 minutes in the Santa Rosa Mountains. Guests can hike the Hinkey Summit and enjoy views of the mountains and desert.

Winnemucca RV Park is a Good Sam rated club and has discounts for club members. RVs of most sizes can be handled. Site hookups include 30- or 50-amp electric, sewer and water. There are options for cable TV and Wi-Fi. Fire rings with grills, picnic tables, showers, bathrooms, laundry room, and a guest lounge are available for guests to use and enjoy. Free shuttles take guests to the downtown area and casinos. Pets are allowed. The seven mile "Bloody Shins" Trail is within 30 minutes of the campground. The trail is set-up for mountain bikers to ride and enjoy.

Model T Casino and RV Park

The Model T Casino offers a RV park on its premises. RV sites have 30- and 50-amp electric, sewer, and water connections. Most sizes of RV can be handled with the pull-through and back-in sites. Guests can use the showers, bathrooms, laundry room, swimming pool, and dump station. Pets are allowed. There are grocery stores nearby. The Winnemucca Sand Dunes are within 30 minutes from the Model T. Visitors to the dunes can explore desert dunes, shifting sand, and keep an eye out for coyotes, elk, and golden eagles.
