Swedesboro is a borough in Gloucester County, near Philadelphia, that offers easy access to canoeing, kayaking and fishing on the Delaware River. The Winslow Fish and Wildlife Management Area is within an hour's drive of Swedesboro. Parvin State Park is south of Swedesboro and has hiking and biking trails.

Old Cedar Campground

Old Cedar Campground has pull-through and back-in sites for most RVs. Water, sewer and 30- or 50-amp electric connections are available, as are showers, bathrooms, picnic tables, barbecue grills, laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, a dump station and playgrounds. Pets are allowed if leashed. There are hiking trails at the campground. Road cyclists can tour the many roads of the region.

Lake Kandle

Lake Kandle has a swimming club and RV park on its grounds. The RV park caters mostly to long-term guests, but has some sites for transient campers. Sites have sewer, water and either 30- or 50-amp electric hookups. Most RVs can be accommodated. Pets are welcome, but need to be leashed. Non-motorized boats such as canoes and kayaks are allowed on Lake Kandle. Road cycling and touring can be had on the many rural roads and routes around the area. Parvin State Park is within 30 minutes and has trails for hiking and mountain biking.

Four Seasons Family Campground

The Four Seasons Family Campground has RV sites that can accommodate both large and small rigs and come with 30- or 50-amp electric, water, sewer and cable TV. Pets are welcome. Guests can use the showers, bathrooms, swimming pool, recreation room, laundry facilities and dump station. Picnic sites and barbecue stations are on the premises. Hiking and mountain biking trails can be found at Parvin State Park, a 45-minute drive from the Four Seasons.
