Campgrounds in Grant, Michigan
Grant is located in western Michigan just south of the Manistee National Forest, home to countless hiking trails. Campers will find several area campgrounds that are conveniently close to recreational opportunities and include canoeing and fishing on the Muskegon River.

Chinook Campground

Chinook Campground is located four miles west of Grant on the Muskegon River. It offers large grass sites that include electric and water hookups, a picnic table and fire ring. Facility amenities include modern restrooms with private showers, a laundry room and sanitation station, two playgrounds, a heated outdoor pool and a volleyball court. There is a convenience store on-site that sells groceries, ice cream and pizza. Chinook Campground rents canoes, kayaks and tubes for use on the Muskegon River, where guest also can find quality trout fishing.

Mystery Creek Campground

Mystery Creek Campground is located on the Muskegon River four miles north of Grant. It offers wooded and grass camp sites that include water and electric hookups, a picnic table and fire ring. Facility amenities include showers and bathrooms with hot water, sanitation station and picnic pavilion. There are many recreational activities at the campground, including two playgrounds, volleyball and horseshoe pits, as well as hiking trails in the surrounding forest. The campground has a concrete boat launch for guests to access the Muskegon River along with a length of shoreline for fishing.

Salmon Run Campground

Salmon Run Campground is located three miles north of downtown Grant on the Muskegon River. It offers partial-hookup sites and rustic psites that feature large grass pads, a picnic table and fire ring. Facility amenities include modern restrooms with private showers, a laundry room and sanitation station, a heated swimming pool, game room and volleyball court. There are several locations in the camp where guests can fish in the Muskegon River as well as a boat launch. Salmon Run Campground rents river rafts and canoes for use on the river and provides several different-length trips.
