Campgrounds Near Addison, Michigan
Addison is located within Lenawee County in southeast Michigan almost on the border of Ohio. This small village is located in the section of the state called the "Irish Hills." With the many lakes in the region, boaters, anglers, canoeists and wildlife enthusiasts will have many opportunities to explore the surrounding area. Campers will not be short on campsites offering a wooded and secluded area in which to pitch their tents.

Hayes State Park

Located approximately 15 miles north of Addison is Hayes State Park. This 654-acre park is located within the Irish Hills on Wampler and Round Lake, offering opportunities for fishing, canoeing and boating. The campground offers 185 campsites with electric, water, fire ring and picnic table. Tent campers will not have a problem finding a wooded and private campsite situated away from RV's. The campground has restrooms, showers, vault toilets throughout, playground, concession stand and a dump station. Boaters can utilize the park's boat ramp and fishing pier. Hikers can walk the several nature trails located within the park. The campground is approximately 10 miles away from Hidden Lake Gardens, offering a 775-acre arboretum with walking and cross-country ski trails.

Kooters Creekside Campground

Kooters Creekside Campground is located in Brooklyn, approximately 18 miles north of Addison. The heavily forested campground offers 65 primitive campsites with a fire ring and picnic table. Tent campers will have many choices in selecting a private campsite situated along a creek. Water is available at the campground's watershed. There is one campsite with 50-amp service, one site with 30-amp service and two sites with 110-amp plug-ins. The campground is one-quarter mile from the Michigan International Speedway. Anglers, boaters and canoeists are approximately five miles away from Hayes State Park, where they can utilize Wampler and Round Lake.

Irish Hills Resort Kampground

Located in Cement City, approximately 10 miles north of Addison, is Irish Hills Resort Kampground. The campground offers campers 140 wooded sites, with tent campers having 26 primitive sites set away from RV, which include a picnic table and fire ring. There are 114 sites with water and 20/30-amp service. The campground has a camping store and laundry facility, as well as restrooms and showers. Guests can utilize the campgrounds free paddle and rowboats to use on the 40-acre lake situated within the park. The campground is approximately 18 miles away from the Lake Hudson Recreation Area, which offers the 502-acre Lake Hudson for boating and fishing opportunities for bass and bluegill. The area has hiking trails and opportunities for wildlife viewing.
