RV Campgrounds near Greensboro, North Carolina
Greensboro is nestled into the rugged, green fastness of central North Carolina, and you do not have to drive very far out of town to be surrounded by deep woods and wildlife. Sitting at the intersection of three interstates, the city offers a convenient and pleasant location for RV campers who love their outdoor activities. A rig set up in or around Greensboro will be close to opportunities for hiking, biking, boating, fishing and wildlife viewing--and all of it within a 30-mile radius.

Hagan-Stone Park

Hagan-Stone is a municipal park, and offers two campgrounds. The first is the "C area," an open, RV-only facility with 41 sites. These sites are 45 feet long and have a picnic table and up to 50-amp electrical hookups. There is also a water tap, but it is shared between two RV sites. This campground is serviced by a pair of shower houses and a dump station.
Hagan-Stone's other campground, "B area," is in a wooded area and is not recommended for big rigs. Each of the 29 sites has a 30-amp electrical hookup, a water tap shared between two sites (as at "C area"), a picnic table and a fire ring.
The two RV-friendly campgrounds at Hagan Stone are located fairly close together, with a playground in between them. Three of the park's four lakes are within walking distance, as are the trailheads for a pair of hiking paths. Located on the southern fringe of Greensboro, Hagan-Stone Park is a logical site for RV campers who want some outdoor activities close at hand, but still want to be in the immediate vicinity of Greensboro itself.
