Campgrounds near Land O' Lakes, Florida
Land O' Lakes, Florida, is located in Pasco County, approximately 30 minutes north of Tampa. As one might expect from the name of the city, Land O' Lakes is surrounded by several lakes and rivers to provide visitors with opportunities for swimming, boating, kayaking, canoeing and fishing. Pasco County is also home to more than 30 parks and nature preserves including Hillsborough River State Park.

Winter Quarters Pasco RV Resort

The Winter Quarters Pasco RV Resort is located 3 miles South of Land O' Lakes. This resort has 255 campsites for RVs and tents. Available RV hookups include water, electric and sewage. This campground features restrooms and showers, laundry facilities, heated swimming pool, whirlpool, library, recreation hall, horseshoe pits, shuffleboard courts and a dog run. Swimming and fishing iare permitted on a lake inside the resort, and campers can purchase ice and propane from the office.

Quail Run RV Park

The Quail Run RV Parks is a 15-minute drive away from Land O' Lakes. This park has 228 sites for RV camping with water, electric, cable TV and sewer hookups. Fifty-two pull-through sites are available, and many sites feature concrete patios. Amenities at the park include private bathhouses, laundry facilities, propane fill station, outdoor pool, shuffleboard courts, horseshoe pits, sheltered picnic area, exercise room and free wireless Internet access. One pet is permitted per RV although additional pets may be allowed with prior consent of management. The park also features a dog-walking area and three small ponds.

Hillsborough River State Park

Hillsborough River State Park is located approximately 30 minutes outside of Land O' Lakes. Camping facilities at this park include a 112 site campground with water, fire rings and picnic tables at each site. This campground can accommodate RVs up to 50 feet, and tent camping is permitted. Amenities include restrooms, showers, dump station, laundry facilities and a camp store. A primitive campground for backcountry camping is also located within the park and features one fire ring. This campground is only accessible via a foot trail and campers are required to pack out any garbage upon leaving. The park itself has more than 7 miles of hiking trails and 3 miles of bike trails. Other activities include fishing, kayaking and canoeing on the Hillsborough River.
