Gallipolis, Ohio, is on the Ohio River and offers myriad opportunities for water activities such as fishing and boating. Gallipolis is about 30 minutes from Wayne National Forest and the Hocking Hills. These recreational areas feature facilities for picnics, mountain climbing, and trails for hiking and horseback riding. The mountainous and forested areas surrounding Gallipolis create an ideal setting for a cabin retreat.

Agape Ridge

Agape is Greek for "unconditional love" and the cabins at Agape Ridge are designed for honeymooners or couples seeking weekend getaways. Agape Ridge has two cabins: the Agape Love Shack and Agape Love Nest. Both offers guests outdoor amenities such as a fire pit, Jacuzzi on the back deck and grill. Each cabin has plasma televisions, a billiard table, fully equipped kitchen, living area, sun room and queen-sized bed. Agape Ridge has a lake on its grounds for fishing. The cabins are near the Clear Creek Nature Preserve, which has a 3-mile trail for hiking and cycling. Agape Ridge is less than 20 minutes away from Lake Logan, which provides opportunities for boating excursions.

Oakwood Cabins

Oakwood Cabins is nestled in the Hocking Hills and provides its guests with access to nearby recreational sites such as Zaleski State Forest. This state park is home to Lake Hope, which has facilities for fishing and boating, as well as the Peninsula to Old Hollows Trail, a 4-mile path for hiking and cycling. Oakwood has four cabins, the Acorn, Beechwood, Chicory and Dogwood. Each includes a living room with fireplace, kitchen area, screened porch with hot tub and outdoor fire ring. All the cabins provide scenic views of the Hocking Hills.

Cherry Ridge Retreat

Cherry Ridge Retreat in New Plymouth is designed to accommodate family outings or an intimate couple's weekend. It has a boat house, lake house and a gazebo that accommodates picnics.
