Mulligan's Hollow
Mulligan's Hollow is a small ski resort located 20 minutes south of downtown Muskegon. This ski park features seven acres of land with six ski slopes and adjoining trails. There are five rope tows positioned strategically for transport up the mountain. The runs are rather short and there are no large chair lifts. Ski slopes are lit for night skiing. Ski instructors are available to teach private and group lessons.

Pando Winter Sports Park
Pando Winter Sports Park is located an hour east of Muskegon by car, just outside of Grand Rapids. Ski lessons and equipment rentals are available. Skiers of all levels can tackle the different offering: six downhill slopes, a freestyle terrain park and cross-country trails. There's also a tubing hill for those who want to take a break from skiing. Pop inside the lodge to warm up by the fire with snacks and drinks as you take in the scenic view of the hilly slopes.

Cannonsburg Ski Area
Cannonsburg Ski Area is situated roughly an hour southeast of Muskegon, and offers slopes for all skill levels as well as lessons and equipment rentals. You'll find green and blue runs as well as black diamond runs. Rope tows and chair lifts take you to the top of the mountain. The slopes are relatively short, but crowds are often minimal, making it easy to get in plenty of runs. Advanced skiers and snowboarders can hit the terrain park, complete with half-pipe and rails. There are discounts on certain days of the week throughout ski season, so check in advance to see what is available.

Muskegon Winter Sports Complex
The Muskegon Winter Sports Complex is located in Muskegon at the northern tip of Muskegon State Park near Lake Michigan. The complex has luge and ice skating facilities as well as an extensive network of cross-country skiing trails. There is no alpine skiing here, but there are challenging cross-country paths winding through the forest and along the lake. The trails are lighted and groomed regularly.
