Dead Horse Ranch State Park is in Cottonwood; just a three-minute drive from the center of town. The developed portion of this park offers 123 RV sites in four campgrounds. Partial hookups with water and 30- and 50-amp electric are available. The park has restrooms, showers, a gift shop and a dump station. Visitors can enjoy the Verde River for canoeing or fishing, or for hiking along its banks.

Rio Verde RV Park

The Rio Verde RV Park is in Cottonwood, and has 68 sites with full hookups, including 30- or 50-amp electric and cable TV. Rio Verde also offers tent campsites, LP sales and WiFi. Amenities include a gift shop, restrooms, showers and laundry facilities. Pets are welcome.

Rancho Verde RV Park is a 22-minute drive from Cottonwood. The park offers 41 sites with full hookups including 50-amp electric and telephone. The park offers WiFi, and has a tent campsites, picnic tables, bathrooms, showers and a laundry room. Those seeking time in natural settings will not have to go far, as the park lies within the boundaries of Prescott National Forest.
