Visitors to York Beach, Maine, will find many outdoor recreational opportunities. Hikers will enjoy nearby Marginal Way Trail, the Mount Agamenticus Trail, and the Ring and Blueberry Buff Trails. Mount Argamenticus also has trails for mountain biking and horseback riding. Kayakers can enjoy paddling the coastline and exploring around Nubble Point and Cape Neddick Nubble, while also enjoying views that include one of the most photographed lighthouses in Maine, Cape Neddick Light.

Birch Knoll Cottages

Birch Knoll has both rustic, as well as newly renovated and modernized, one- and two-bedroom cottages. All cottages have a private bath, cable television and private outdoor deck, and are furnished with kitchen accessories. Guests have use of multiple outdoor grills that are spread around Birch Knoll's 13 acres. Amenities include a large children's playground, heated outdoor pool, large outdoor fireplace and various fire pits spread throughout the property. Birch Knoll is only eight miles from the hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding trails at Mount Argamenticus, and six miles from the Marginal Way Trail. Guests who are kayakers will find that Short Sands Beach is only 800 feet away at the northern base of Cape Neddick.

Ocean View Cottage

The Ocean View is a quaint two-bedroom cottage. The cottage is only 250 feet from the water and has great views of Long Sands Beach and the Nubble Point Lighthouse. Amenities include all kitchen appliances needed down to the coffee filters, a gas grill and beach chairs. Mount Argamenticus' hiking, biking and horseback riding trails are only nine miles away, while the Marginal Way Trail is only six and a half miles from the cottage. Kayakers will be only 250 feet from Short Sands Beach for easy boat launches.

York Beach House

The York Beach House is a two-bedroom cottage that is the last house on a quiet dead-end street. The master bedroom has a double bed, while the second bedroom has a single bed and a single bunk bed. Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, a 10-foot deck with a picnic table and gas grill, two televisions with cable, and beach chairs for the large lawn or to take to Long Sands Beach, which is only a quarter of a mile away. Hikers, mountain bikers and horseback riders will only be nine miles from the trails at Mount Argamenticus, while the Marginal Way hiking trail is only six and a half miles from the cottage.
