Campgrounds near Standish, Michigan
Standish is located four miles west of Saginaw Bay in a rural portion of eastern Michigan. The area has an abundance of campgrounds, many of which have their own hiking trails and are located on or near the Rifle River which is a popular canoeing river.

Big Bend Family Campground

Big Bend Family Campground is located four miles northeast of downtown Standish on the Rifle River. It offers more than 100 camp sites split into a tent section and an RV section that has water and electric hook-ups. Facility amenities include modern restroom with private showers, banquet room and game room as well as a camp store, laundry room and trailer storage. The campground is on a large wooded tract of land that offers hiking trails that run through the surrounding forest and along the river. Guests can access to rental canoes, kayaks and tubes to use on the Rifle River which has quality trout fishing.

Rifle River Resort

Rifle River Resort is located eight miles north of Standish on the Rifle River in Sterling, Michigan. It offers 201 camp sites that include water, electric and a picnic table along with a fire ring. There are modern restrooms with private showers onsite as well as a laundry room and camp store. Rifle River Resort has many recreational amenities for its guests such as an outdoor heated pool, game room and playground. The resort has a boat launch onsite for guests to use to access the river for fishing or recreation. It also has hiking trails that run throughout forest that surrounds the resort.

River View Campground

River View Campground is a 120-acre camp and canoe livery with more than a mile frontage on the rifle River in Sterling, Michigan. There are a variety of sites available which include full hook-up, partial hook-up and rustic with many sites available that are waterfront. Restroom facilities are found in several locations in the camp with three that have private showers. Recreational amenities include two playgrounds, a recreation building and a basketball court along with several hiking trails throughout the property and in the adjoining State Forest land. The Canoe Livery rents canoes, kayaks and tunes to be used on the river where guests can relax or fish for trout.
