Campgrounds in Midland, Michigan
Midland, Michigan is home to several parks, hiking and biking trails and an area where three rivers intersect creating boating, fishing and swimming opportunities. This small town has a busy downtown area with restaurants, shopping, museums and art galleries. While campgrounds are not plentiful within the city limits, several options exist just outside of town.

Valley Plaza RV Park

The Valley Plaza RV Park rests on the grounds on the Valley Plaza resort in Midland. Guests of the RV park will be within walking distance of the hotel's amenities such as two restaurants, three indoor pools, hot tubs, sauna, movie theatre and the Four Seasons Health and Aquatics Club. The RV park consists of 77 campsites with water, electric, sewage and cable TV hookups. Each site includes a picnic table, fire pit and a concrete patio. The RV park is located near the resort's three-acre lake which has a sandy beach for swimming and sunbathing.

Lake of Dreams Campground

Lake of Dreams is a 77-acre campground with 151 campsites 15 miles away from Midland. Electric hookups, picnic tables and fire rings are located at each site. The campground's amenities include restrooms, showers, dump station, mini water-park, horseshoe pits and a children's playground. This campground also has a small fishing pond and a four-acre lake with a sandy beach where guests can enjoy a game of beach volleyball. The area surrounding the camp is wooded and features several hiking and mountain biking trails. Pets are welcome but must be restrained and supervised at all times.

Black Creek State Forest Campground

Black Creek State Forest Campground is approximately 10 miles outside of Midland. This rustic campground has 23 sites for tents or small campers or RV's up to 40 feet long. Drinking water is available at the campground and vault toilets are located near the campsites. Fishing is allowed in Black Creek near the campground and popular catches include bass, perch, panfish, walleye and pike. Visitors willing to travel two miles south of the campground will discover 10 miles of hiking trails and the Pere Marquette Trail which is a paved path, over 20 miles long, used for hiking and biking.
