Nederland, Texas, is southeast of Beaumont, close to the border with Louisiana. The town is located near the Sabine River Basin, a 14-mile long, 7-mile wide body of water that drains into the Gulf of Mexico. The area offers boating enthusiasts opportunities for river, lake, marsh and Gulf access. The local RV parks provide the convenience of town with large spaces and plenty of extra features.

Charlie's RV Park

Charlie's RV Park is in Nederland, putting travelers within reach of the cities of Port Arthur, Beaumont, Port Neches and Orange. The park has sites with full hookups, including 30- and 50-amp electric. Trash removal and free wireless Internet service are offered. Each site has a 12-by-30 foot concrete pad and measures 65 feet in length. While guests have the convenience of a stay in town, Sea Rim State Park is only 20 miles south and provides marshland and Gulf of Mexico shoreline for play and exploration. The park contains the Gambusia Nature Trail and options for canoeing, kayaking and airboat access, with boat tours and rentals available.

Acadian RV Resort

Acadian RV Resort has 50 sites available, including large sites measuring 90-by-30 feet. The park is 4 1/2f acres in size, shaded by oak and sycamores. Travelers with boats are welcome, with plenty of space provided for trailers. Guests are only 4 miles from the launch at Port Neches Park. Travelers can stretch out in these roomy, grassy spots and rest up for an excursion into the Big Hill Bayou Wildlife Management Area. Big Hill Bayou--part of the J. D. Murphree WMA--is only 15 miles south and an exceptional area for boating, especially if you like to view wildlife and water birds, as the area supports many rare and migratory species.

Access RV Park

Access RV Park is 3 miles outside of Nederland. The park provides 90 sites with full hookups, covered patios and concrete pads. Cable TV, 30- and 50-amp electric are available and pets are welcome. Wide driveways and 43 pull-through sites make negotiating the park easier for larger vehicles. Texas Point National Wildlife Refuge is 24 miles from the RV park. The refuge has trails and observation platforms for wildlife viewing. The area is a haven for shallow boating and non-motorized boats, with several ramps and smaller lakes accessible in the refuge area.
