Brooklyn Park is found north of Minneapolis, in a part of the state filled with lakes, parks and natural areas. The RV parks that serve this region place travelers very close to a wide variety of outdoor sports and recreation, whether you prefer the woods, the river or lake atmosphere.

Minneapolis Northwest KOA

The Minneapolis Northwest KOA is 12 miles northwest of Brooklyn Park. The RV park sits on 20 acres, offering sites in the shade or sun. Larger rigs can reserve a pull through site up to 75 feet long. The spaces come with full hookups, phone service included and free Wi-Fi. LP gas and firewood are sold onsite. The park hosts planned activities and provides mini golf, outdoor games and a heated pool. For other recreation, Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park is 13 miles east of the campground. A favorite in the area for cross country skiing, the park has trails for in-line skating, paved and limestone biking trails and a natural surface trail for hiking and trail runs. The boat launch allows access to the Mississippi River.

Shakopee Valley RV Park

Shakopee Valley is open from spring through early fall. The RV park has more than 100 shady sites available, 30 miles south of Brooklyn Park. The sites come with full or partial hookups and both pull through and back-in spaces are offered. A store, game room and indoor pool are located onsite. Paved bike and hiking trails are located on the grounds and the park is situated along the Minnesota River bank. Fort Snelling State Park is 16 miles from Shakopee and provides hiking at the convergence of the Mississippi River and Minnesota River, along with biking and ski trails. Guests can swim at Snelling Lake or take a canoe out onto Gun Club Lake.

Town and Country Campground & RV Park

Town and Country Campground & RV Park is located 26 miles south of Brooklyn Park. The park's RV sites offer full hookups and pull through access and pets are welcome to accompany you. Phone hookups, cable television and wireless Internet service are available. The park provides a dump station, portable fire pits, a heated pool and hot tub. For adventure, Murphy-Hanrehan Park Reserve is five miles from the campground. The park reserve is mainly undeveloped and contains challenging cross country ski trails and interesting mountain bike trails. Visitors can search for a geocache, canoe or kayak in the park.
