Camp Meade RV Park
This RV park is operated by the U.S. Army's Family and Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (FMWR) program. It offers 50 RV sites with full hookups (up to 50-amp electricity) and cable TV connections. Three of the RV sites have a handicap-access designation. The campground is serviced by a camp store with propane sales, and has a picnic area with fire rings, showers, coin laundry, and an RV storage facility. It is also adjacent to Burba Lake, and boat rentals on that lake are available. Other amenities include Internet access, a baseball field, fitness center, game room, equestrian center and swimming pools.

Washington DC/Capitol KOA
Although it is designated as the Washington, D.C. KOA, this campground's location is such that it services the cities of Washington, Baltimore and Annapolis equally well. It is less than five miles from Fort Meade, and offers the typical KOA mix of RV sites, tent camping and "kamping kabins." Its features and facilities include showers, a coin laundry, firewood and LP gas sales, an outdoor swimming pool, a playground and free Wi-Fi access. The KOA operates a shuttle service to a suburban Maryland station of the Washington, D.C. metro system, opening access to that city's parks and museums without the need to drive into the city center. The Washington, D.C. KOA's location makes it a convenient base for outdoor activities on the Chesapeake Bay, where beach sports, boating, fishing and birding can be pursued.

Cherry Hill Park
Cherry Hill Park is set just outside the Washington, D.C. beltway, roughly a 15-mile drive from Fort Meade. It is an expansive RV park with 400 combination RV-or-tent sites. All the sites are equipped with full hookups (30- and 50-amp electricity). The RV park's facilities include showers, coin laundry, and a camp store with propane and firewood sales. Among the other amenities include a cafe, free Wi-Fi access, miniature golf, game room, TV lounge, hot tub, sauna, outdoor swimming pool and golf cart rentals. The park also has other accommodations in the form of rental-cabins. Sitting in the heart of the DC suburbs, Cherry Hill Park is not especially convenient to the area's most substantial outdoor attractions, but it is close to a number of suburban parks such as Greenbelt Park and Wheaton Regional Park.
