RV Campgrounds in Desert Hot Springs, California

Desert Hot Springs, California's main attraction is that its sits on top of what is arguably the finest hot mineral water aquifer in the United States. For an RV camper who is fond of hot mineral springs, that makes Desert Hot Springs almost a must-see while in southern California. The city is close to Palm Springs, and is also a 30 minute drive from the desert adventures of the Joshua Tree National Park, which is a major attraction for outdoors-loving RV campers in and of itself.

Sands RV and Golf Resort

This expansive RV resort offers 520 sites with full hookups (30- and 50-amp electricity). The camping facilities include picnic and barbecue areas and a full-service laundromat. Among the other features and facilities is a 9-hole golf course, free Wi-Fi access at all RV sites, fitness center, outdoor swimming pool, two hot tubs, courts for shuffleboard and tennis, game room and library. There are also half a dozen pets runs and a private lake on the property, as well as an RV storage facility.

Desert Springs RV Park

Desert Springs RV park offers a rural, gated facility with a mix of RV and tent camping. The RV sites have full hookups (up to 50-amp electricity), and cable TV and telephone connections are available. The camping facilities include a dump station, picnic and barbecue area and propane sales. The park operates its own spa with hot springs bathing, and among its other amenities are an outdoor swimming pool, regular hot tub, pet-walking area, and Wi-Fi access.

Caliente Springs

Caliente Springs operates an extensive and well-manicured RV resort for RV campers aged 55 and older. The RV-site loops are woven around a 9-hole golf course, and every one of the 1,700 sites offers full hookups and cable TV connections. The resort's amenities include Wi-Fi access, an outdoor swimming pool, hot springs bathing, clubhouse with game room, exercise room, and courts for basketball, shuffleboard and tennis. Caliente Springs also conducts organized and guided hiking trips.
