RV Parks near Turlock, California

Turlock, California is located in the mid-central portion of the state, just north of what's called the Central Valley. This town is about 200 miles southeast of the San Francisco Bay Area, and 50 miles south of Modesto. The major recreation site in this area is Yosemite National Park, one of the most famous of the national parks. There are several RV parks near Turlock.

Merced River RV Resort is situated in Delhi--about 15 minutes southeast of downtown Turlock. The site is 30 minutes north of the Great Valley Grasslands State Park, where hikers of all skill levels will find several paths through the primitive valley floor.

Kit Fox RV Park

Kit Fox RV Park is located in Patterson, which is about a 35-minute drive from Turlock's city limits. The RV park will accommodate both small and big rigs with large pull-through sites, all of which come with full hookups, 20-, 30- or 50-amp electric service, free Wi-Fi, and extra space for slide-out rooms. The RV park also has a clubhouse for social events, a dumping station, and a picnic area. Hardy hikers should take the two-hour drive to Henry Coe State Wilderness. This state park has 87,000 acres of protected land and is the largest state park in California. Hikers will find an abundance of difficult terrain on which to traipse and explore.

Santa Nella RV Park

The Santa Nella RV Park, located in Gustine (35 minutes from Turlock), offers campers the following amenities: full hookups, 30- and 50-amp service, concrete RV pads, pull-through sites, cable TV (at some sites), and an RV supply store. In addition, the park has a large picnic area, restrooms (with showers), and laundry facilities (coin-operated). The San Luis Reservoir State Recreation Area is 40 minutes south of Santa Nella Park and has three lakes--all of which have hiking trails on their shores and in the forests nearby.
