Algonquin Hotel
The Algonquin HoteI near Bryant Park and Times Square in midtown Manhattan, was once favored by New York's literary and publishing elites. Its Round Table restaurant attracted such notables as Harpo Marx, George S. Kaufman and Dorothy Parker, and its famous guests have included John Barrymore, Gertrude Stein and Maya Angelou. The Algonquin offers 138 deluxe rooms with king or queen beds, 12 twin-bed rooms and 24 suites with both a king bed and queen sofabed. The Algonquin Hotel is home to the Oak Room Supper Club, the Blue Bar and the Round Table restaurant. In 1987, the hotel was designated a New York City landmark.
