Leland, Michigan Campgrounds
Leland is located on the west cost of the Leelanau Peninsula directly on Lake Michigan. It is a small historic fishing village that has several camping options nearby. Campgrounds are conveniently located near several recreational opportunities, which include fishing in Lake Leelanau and hiking in Leelanau State Park.

Wild Cherry Resort

Wild Cherry Resort is located seven miles east of Leland and offers large full hook-up RV sites with free wireless Internet. There are modern restrooms for guests that include private showers along with an attached laundry room. The resort also has a lodge available for gatherings, outdoor pool area with sundeck and playground for the children. There is a 4-acre private lake for guests to fish and swim in along with two par-3 golf holes and a driving range for guests to use. Hikers will enjoy 30 acres of forest with hiking trails surround the campground as well trails through the camp.

Lake Leelanau RV Park

Lake Leelanau RV Park is located eight miles south of Leland on Lake Leelanau. It offers 196 full hook-up sites that include cable TV and wireless Internet along with rustic tent sites set in the woods. There are a variety of sites available that include pull-through, lakefront and open grass sites with most including a concrete pad and patio. There are modern restrooms with private showers, laundry area and large playground area. The park sits on Lake Leelanau and offers a boat launch, 98 rental boat docks and a fishing pier, as well as boat and jet ski rentals. Lake Leelanau offers guests quality fishing for bluegill, perch and largemouth bass.

Leelanau State Park

Leelanau State Park is locate 16 miles north of Leland in Northport and offers a 52 rustic campsites. The campground offers forest buffers for privacy, picnic tables and fire rings. The facility has vault toilets, central water filling stations and a picnic shelter. Campers can swim or walk along the beach area or hike the 8.5 mile trail that traverses the beach and forest of the park. Leelanau State Park is home to the Grand Traverse Lighthouse Museum and Northport Lighthouse, which visitors can tour.
