Located less than 15 miles south of Sun Valley, Idaho, Hailey is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts. The Sawtooth National Forest and surrounding mountains provides visitors with hiking trails, biking trails, ski resorts and several rivers with opportunities for rafting and fishing. The town of Hailey also has numerous opportunities for shopping and dining. RV parks are limited in the area, but there are numerous camping options in the national forest.

The Meadows RV Park

Located 12 miles north of downtown Hailey, this RV park is ideal for recreation in the Sawtooth National Forest. The park has pull-through sites, shade trees, cable TV, wireless Internet, restrooms and showers. The park is located within minutes of the Sawtooth National Forest where you will find mountain-hiking trails, biking trails and fishing lakes and streams. The towns of Hailey and Ketchum are a 10-minute drive and have shopping and dining. RV sites have hookups for water, sewer and 50-amp electric.

Riverside RV Park

Located 5 miles south of Hailey, this RV park has basic amenities and good reviews from RV Park Reviews.com. The park has 39 sites, shade trees, cable TV, showers, restrooms and big-rig access. The location is within minutes of the Big Wood River where you will find fishing for trout, salmon and steelhead. The park is pet friendly and has additional tent sites available. RV sites have hookups for water, sewer and 50 amps.

Wood River Campground

This campground is located in the Ketchum Ranger District of the national forest. The campground has 30 sites with dry camping only. It also has a restroom, shade trees, water and pull-through spaces. The campground is located within the Sawtooth National Recreation Area and offers fishing and swimming on the Big Wood River, hiking, biking and mountain scenery. The campground is pet and family friendly and has additional tent sites. Ketchum and Hailey are within 30 minutes of the campground and offer shopping and dining.
