Lake Whitney State Park
Lake Whitney State Park is a 10-minute drive from the center of Whitney. RV campers choose between 66 back-in and pull-through sites. Full and partial hookups are available. Some campsites have 50-amp electric. The park has an airstrip, two trails--one for hikers only and another multi-use trail--a boat ramp, recreation hall with kitchen, showers, bathrooms, dump station and picnic area. Guests can watch for the 40 species of wildflowers that grow in the park as well as 17 different types of amphibians.

Lofers Bend Park
Lofers Bend Park is located 12 minutes from the center of town. Campers will find 68 campsites with back-in spaces. Hookups include 30-amp electric and water. Campers are responsible for carting out their own sewage. The park offers direct access to Lake Whitney, tenting sites, bathrooms, showers, playground, dump station, boat ramp, marina and store. Water-skiing and fishing for Guadalupe bass and white crappie are common along this portion of the lake.

McCown Valley Park is located 16 minutes from the center of town. Visitors will find 65 campsites with both back-in and pull-through spaces. Full and partial hookups are available, and 50-amp sites are available as well. The park sits on the shoreline of Whitney Lake and has a boat ramp and lakeshore swimming area. Pets are welcome. Fishing, sailing and power boating are common activities at the park as well as catching a glimpse of passing deer.
