After the vehicle is parked and connections made, outdoor lovers can explore the areas many attractions including hiking the 10.42 mile Phelps trail in Sam Houston National Forest, road biking the 30.7 mile Coldspring ramble or use the binoculars to spot red-cockaded woodpeckers while walking through the Big Creek scenic area.

Freedom Shores Marina & RV Resort

The Freedom Shores Marina & RV Resort is a 12-minute drive from the center of Trinity. Campers will find that full hookups are available for all sites. All campsites are 30 or 50 amp. The resort has a deep-water boat ramp, covered boat stalls, waterside gas, propane station, bait and tackle, restaurant, convenience store, free Wi-Fi, cable TV, bathrooms, picnic tables and laundry room.

Outback Campground and Marina

The Outback Campground and Marina is located 13 minutes from the center of Trinity. Campers will find that full hookups are available for all sites. Camping sites are either 30 or 50 amp. The campground has canoe, pontoon and paddle boat rentals, boat launch and stalls, fire pits, tent spaces, free Wi-Fi and picnic tables. Pets are welcome though a $30 deposit is required. This campground sits along the shore of Lake Livingston.

Marina Village Resort

The Marina Village Resort is a 12-minute drive from the center of Trinity. Campers will discover the resort offers sites with both full and partial hookups and 50-amp sites are available. The resort has a wading and swimming pool, hot tub, basketball court, ping-pong table, shuffleboard, horseshoe pit, playground, boat launch, bathrooms, showers and laundry room. Pets are welcome.
