Houston is in southeast Texas and is one of the largest cities in the United States. The city is home to over 300 parks, has four major bayous running through it, and has several bays on its east coast. The area offers opportunities for fishing, boating, canoeing, hiking, biking, or viewing nature. RV campers have a choices of parks that offer full hookups and are close to the area's recreational opportunities.

Advanced RV Park

The Advanced RV Park is located on the outskirts of Houston. The park offers large sites with concrete pads--66 pull-throughs and 84 back-ins. Campsites have trees for shade and privacy. Sites include water, sewer, 50- or 30-amp power, Wi-Fi and TV cable. The park is handicap accessible and accepts pets. There is a pool, bathhouse, laundry facility, spa, BBQ/picnic area, clubhouse, and a propane and convenience store. Anglers will appreciate Tom Bass Region Park Section III, which is located next to the park and offers lake fishing and a fishing pier. Christa V. Adair Park is also located next door, offering a nature and bike trail.

Lake View RV Resort

The Lake View RV Resort is located by Reliant Stadium. The park offers 270 sites with concrete pads, including pull-throughs for large rigs. Sites have hookups for water, sewer, phone, satellite TV, Wi-Fi and 15-amp to 50-amp electric. The beautifully landscaped park has a pool, Jacuzzi, fitness and recreation room, BBQ/picnic area and pet-walk area, and sells propane. The campground is situated around the park's four-acre lake, and there is a walking trail around it. The Brays Bayou 13-mile, paved walking and biking trail is approximately three miles from the park. Wildlife and nature enthusiasts are approximately four miles away from the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center.

Marina Bay RV Resort

The Marina Bay RV Resort is located on 2,000-acre Clear Lake, approximately seven miles from Houston. The lake and Galveston Bay offer outstanding fishing and boating opportunities. The park offers 239 sites, with pull-throughs that will accommodate larger rigs. Each site has hookups for sewer, water, 30- or 50-amp electric, TV cable and Wi-Fi. There are paved drives and pets are accepted. The park has a laundry facility, recreation and exercise room, BBQ/picnic area, pool, and pet walk area. Canoeists or Kayakers can launch from the park and canoe the bayou area, and anglers can utilize the park's 400-feet of shoreline. The 2,500-acre Armand Bayou Nature Center is approximately one mile away; it has a bison observation deck and four nature trails offering opportunities for bird watching. The center also offered a guided canoe tour through the Armand Bayou.
