Hotels near Robeline, Louisiana
Robeline is a tiny village in Western Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana. It is right in the middle of Creole country. Its Cane River region features some of the South's oldest plantation homes along the 32-mile oxbow-shaped Cane River Lake and pecan orchards, cotton farms, landmarks and churches border it. There is just one lodging place within the village, but there are many hotels close by in Natchitoches Parish City, founded in 1714, the oldest permanent settlement in the Louisiana Purchase territory.

Keegan-Cook House

The only lodging that sits within the village of Robeline, Louisiana is the Keegan-Cook House. Built in 1850, the Natchitoches Times calls it, "The Jewel of Robeline." It is also on the National Register of Historic Places list.

Guests compliment owners John and Paula Jarvis, on their hospitality. In 1994 they did a major modernization of the home's plumbing and electrical systems and added central air and heating.

A full-course complimentary Southern breakfast, complete with Giant fluffy biscuits and country gravy, sausage patties, grits and scrambled eggs is served every day on fine china, silverware and linen in the sunny breakfast room.

The five guest rooms and suites are described as spacious, each decorated individually, with air onditioning, ceiling fans and cable TV. On a huge glassed-in porch there are jigsaw puzzles and comfortable seating to relax on with a good book or magazine. There are also antiques and whimsical treasures that are for sale.
