Hard Labor State Park
About 45 minutes southeast of Lawrenceville, Hard Labor State Park is thought to be named for slaves laboring in the fields or Native Americans trying to ford the river. Twenty-four miles of trails will delight hikers and horseback riders (bring your own and rent a stall.) Group camps and 20 cabins allow visitors to spend the night in the heart of nature. The cabins feature cable TV and two are pet friendly for an extra charge (two pets maximum.)
