Buffalo is approximately 400 miles northeast of Manhattan and is roughly 16 miles from Niagara Falls and the Canadian border. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy a walk along the Buffalo waterfront, explore naval history at the Buffalo and Erie County Naval and Military Park, take a bike ride along the Erie Canal or visit the animals at the Buffalo Zoo. Kyoto entertains guests while feeding them. Chefs at Kyoto prepare the meal right in front of guests as they dine at this Japanese restaurant. Kyoto also has a sushi bar that specializes in different rolls. If sushi is not your thing, you can still sit at the bar, but order a vegetable or shrimp tempura or anything else on the menu. Kyoto offers takeout service for those guests who are on the run. If you're celebrating a birthday, let the staff at Kyoto know so they can prepare a special birthday surprise. Kyoto can accommodate big groups for parties or corporate functions, but be sure to call ahead to reserve the date and space. Kyoto is near Boulevard Mall. Reservations are not required but are recommended. Mastercard, Visa and American Express are all accepted forms of payment as are Kyoto gift cards, which are available for purchase at the restaurant.

Ichiban Seafood Steakhouse

Ichiban Seafood Steakhouse is a buffet-style restaurant, but unlike most buffet restaurants where you serve yourself, Ichiban asks guests to fill out a menu and your meal is prepared for you in the kitchen at a flat-rate cost. The buffet menu consists of California rolls, tempura and teriyaki chicken. If you order off the hibachi menu, chefs will prepare the meal in front of you. Anything else comes from the kitchen already prepared. Unlike some restaurants, Ichiban does not take reservations so guests are served on a first-come, first-served basis. Ichiban does not prepare takeout orders and outdoor seating is not available. Ichiban does have a full-service bar. This restaurant accepts cash and all major credit cards and is open for lunch and dinner only.

Ichi Shogun

Ichi Shogun is located just a mile outside of Buffalo in Williamsville, New York and is open for dinner only. This Japanese restaurant not only has a hibachi menu full of chicken, steak, lobster and shrimp, but Ichi Shogun also has a menu for sushi, noodles and tempura. All hibachi meals are prepared in front of you by your own personal chef, and each meal comes with fried rice and vegetables. For a few extra dollars, the staff at Ichi Shogun will take a picture of you and your guests and put it in a customized photo holder as a keepsake of your dining experience. Reservations are not required, but are recommended. You also can call ahead and let the waitstaff know you are coming and they can add your name to the wait list.
