Apache Wells RV Resort

Apache Wells RV Resort is a Cal-Am Resorts property located in northern Mesa, 19 miles south of Fountain Hills. The resort offers 318 sites with full hookups (30- and 50-amp electric) for guests aged 55 and up, and provides them with a craft room, a library, tennis courts and a swimming pool and hot tub. Guests aged 55 and over are welcome to spend a month or more at Orangewood Shadows RV Resort, about 19 miles south of Fountain Hills. The resort features 474 extended-stay sites with full hookups. Onsite recreation facilities include horseshoe pits, shuffleboard and swimming pool. This no-pets property welcomes seasonal and permanent residents.

Usery Mountain Regional Park

Usery Mountain Regional Park, next to the Tonto National Forest and 28 miles from Fountain Hills, offers 73 developed sites for campers; each has water and electricity, as well as a picnic table and fire ring. In addition, the Maricopa County park provides hot showers and flush toilets. The park has two group sites with no hookups. It's famous for its archery range, and guests are invited to sign up for star-gazing classes in spring.
