Rainbow Plantation
Rainbow Plantation is located just under 30 minutes southeast of Montrose. This park offers RV campers 87 sites with full hookups, a swimming pool, a clubhouse for social events, wireless Internet, a dump site, and laundry services. The park has a variety of activities on the premises, including a Mardi Gras celebration in February. Campers can take a 15-minute drive to Yupon Weeks Bay, a small outlet on the Gulf of Mexico, and explore the many trails lining the shores of the Bay.

Wales West RV Park is also situated southeast of Montrose. This RV park, which is 20 minutes from downtown Montrose, has a variety of sites and amenities for RV campers. The site has laundry facilities, a playground for kids, a full gym, a large clubhouse for social events, a library with couches, and a swimming pool. RV sites come with full hookups, cable TV, and 50-amp electric. Wales West has a one-mile nature trail through the property. Bay Front Park is only a ten-minute drive, and it has several miles of hiking trails, both around the bay and through the woods.

Magnolia Springs is about a 30-minute car ride from downtown Montrose. The RV park has several RV sites with paved entrances and exits, weekly, daily, and monthly rates, and a large clubhouse for social events. The park can accommodate big rigs and small pop-up campers as well. A 40-minute drive will take campers to the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge, a 4,000-acre preserve that offers ample birding, boating, and hiking opportunities. The trails along the coast give hikers a chance to see exotic birds, tortoises, and even alligators.
