A heated swimming pool is a great way to beat the low temps in Lincoln or you can just head straight for the indoor spa. This Lincoln RV resort is a popular spot for tailgating parties when the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers are playing a home game. Fish for largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie and carp just a few minutes away at Lagoon Park, or just pass the day away by paddling over the lagoon. The 1.032-mile-long Highlands Loop Trail is about 10 minutes distant.

Pawnee Lake Recreation Area

Pawnee Lake Recreation Area hosts 73 full hookup sites that include 30/50-amp electrical connection and room for slide-outs. Showers, restrooms and a picnic table are offered at every site. The interior and exterior roads are paved and in good condition. The Pawnee Recreation Area is home to the second largest lake in the Salt Valley and you'll find three boat ramps and four docks. Discover six miles of hiking trails inside the Pawnee Recreation Area as well as six miles of biking trails. Relax at the two beaches and 53 picnic tables with 225 grills.

Conestoga Lake State Recreation Area

Conestoga State Recreation Area can be found 20 miles to the west of Lincoln. You'll find 25 pads with electrical hookups and eight pads without electricity. Inside this recreation area visitors find two miles of hiking trails and two miles of biking trails. There are 59 picnic tables and grills. Though you won't find any beaches, there is a boat ramp and eight docks. While the campground here is primitive and doesn't afford the amenities that you might expect from many RV resorts, the payoff is the chance to see wildlife and get back to nature. And, you are also still close to the parks and recreation activities inside Lincoln.
