Cooper's Lake campground
Cooper's Lake is a 500-acre family owned facility that has been operating for almost 40 years. This campsite surrounds a 10-acre lake where guests can go fishing for perch, bass, trout, catfish and bluegills. Swimming is not allowed in the lake, however, guests can enjoy other activities like horseback riding, nature cruises, golfing and biking within the park and its surrounding areas. The park has five sites to choose from and each are equipped with shower facilities. It also has a barn, a store and a recreational building. Guests can make camp reservations online and bookings for events should be made one year in advance. Cooper's Lake is open from April to October and is just about an hour away from Sharon, PA and Pittsburgh.

Farma family campground
This campsite is located just 17 miles off of Sharon, PA and is open from May to December. It is owned and operated by the May family. Farma features a wide range of camping and recreational facilities. It has 250 sites with full hook-up, restrooms and showers, a camp store, and picnic tables. It also has a lighted swimming pool, a children's play area, a recreation hall, basketball and mini golf course among others. Farma is nearby several local attractions where guests can explore nature trails, wineries, fairgrounds, golf courses, art shops and zoos. The campground's rustic cottages can be rented out for weekend or during holidays and visitors should note that smoking and bringing of pets inside the cabin is prohibited.

Pymatuning state park
Pymantuning State Park is a 25,000-acre campground that extends from Pennsylvania all the way to Ohio and is located just 20 miles from Sharon, PA. It has four state campgrounds, three of which are located in the state of Pennsylvania. The State Park lies along the shores of the Pymantung Lake where visitors can enjoy the lake as long as they observe the park regulations. Picnicking and feeding fishes at a nearby hatchery are also some of the popular activities in the area. Pymantung Park operates even during the winter season which makes it a popular destination for winter sports enthusiasts.
