Henry Horton State Park
This state park has a 72 camping sites situated near the banks of the Duck River. 10 of these, plus one large group site, are tents-only and for primitive camping. The remainder of the park's campsites are joint tent and RV sites. These have water and electrical hookups, barbecue grills and picnic tables. The campground is serviced by a pair of bathhouses and a dump station. However, because the bathhouses close between early December and early March, tent-camping (or any camping outside of an RV with its own bathroom) during this same period is not permitted. Leashed pets are welcome, and there is a two-week maximum stay at the campground. The park also has other accommodations in the form of rental cabins and rooms at the park lodge. For outdoor activities, the park offers some easy hiking trails, an archery range and fishing in the Duck River. Henry Horton State Park is 15 miles to the northeast of Shelbyville.

Camping facilities include a shower house, coin laundry and picnic area. The campground offers Wi-Fi access, a playground and courts for volleyball and horseshoes. The Duck River is across the road from the RV park, and the surrounding area offers opportunities for tubing, rafting and fishing.
