Classic cuts include a 12 oz. rib eye and a 7 or 9 oz. house sirloin with available toppings such as sauteed garlic and mushroom, shrimp and Parmesan or grilled onions. Signature steaks include a 4 oz. sirloin steak with portobello mushrooms, 10 oz. sirloin steak with brown sauce and sauteed onions and mushrooms, asiago peppercorn steak, shrimp 'n Parmesan sirloin, steak and grilled or fried shrimp, and bourbon street steak. Ponderosa Steakhouse is about 30 miles away from Whitehouse. It is a family restaurant that offers food for dine-in and take-out. Steaks are USDA-choice and include rib eye, T-bone, top sirloin, chopped steak, sirloin tips, sirloin and chicken Monterey, and sirloin and fried or grilled shrimp. Chicken and seafood dishes are also served as well as sandwiches and burgers. Menus for kids and seniors are available and large groups may be accommodated. An all-you-can-eat buffet with vegetables, fruits, soups, salads, appetizers, dessert and a variety of beef, chicken, seafood and pasta dishes is also available.

Franklin Chop House

Franklin Chop House is about an hour away from Whitehouse. It is a full-service, local restaurant that serves classic American dishes in a warm and casual atmosphere. Made-to-order food such as hand-cut USDA steaks, pasta, sandwiches, salads, chicken, and seafood is on the menu. Chop hand-cut steaks, which are aged and grilled over hickory wood and topped with garlic butter, are tender beef medallions, available as 8 or 10 oz. top sirloin, 12 oz. rib eye, 8 oz. Chop House filet, and a 12 oz. New York strip steak. Side dishes such as creamed spinach, mashed potatoes and gravy, mac and cheese or fried okra are also served. Sunday brunch is available. Franklin Chop House is open seven days a week.
