Bethlehem, New Hampshire is situated in the heart of New Hampshire's White Mountains. Located about two and a half hours north of Boston and three hours southeast of Montreal, Bethlehem offers a bevy of activities for the outdoors lover. Restaurants in the area tend to have a mountain lodge feel to them and some have scenic views.

Adair Country Inn & Restaurant

The Adair Country Inn & Restaurant is a converted 1927 estate that is located near area ski attractions and mountain hiking. Guests staying at the inn have the opportunity to purchase ski, dog-sled and spa packages. The restaurant accepts dinner reservations Thursday through Sunday nights. Guests select choices from a three-course menu for a fixed price per person. The restaurant alternates two menus bi-weekly. A daily breakfast is served at the restaurant and features a full complement of breakfast fruits, grains and meats. Afternoon tea also is served daily in the inn's living room, where guests enjoy tea and baked goodies.

Cold Mountain Cafe

The Cold Mountain Cafe is located in the center of quaint downtown Bethlehem. The cafe offers outdoor patio seating, as well as an indoor dining facility. In the past, the Cold Mountain Cafe has served lunch and dinner six nights a week, with services closed on Sunday. However, as of 2010 the cafe has added a Sunday brunch menu, making it a convenient stop before a Sunday afternoon trip to the slopes. In addition to the food, the cafe occasionally features live art shows and musical performances to complement the cuisine. Lunch and dinner are served Monday through Saturday, with brunch the only meal available on Sundays.

Wayside Inn: Riverside Restaurant

Located within the Wayside Inn, the Riverside Restaurant offers a European flavor to its menu, which was designed to reflect the traditional cuisine of Switzerland. Large glass windows around the perimeter of the dining room offer breathtaking views of nature and the nearby mountains. Featured entrees are available for a moderate price, which allows guests to dine in style without breaking the bank.

Outdoors lovers will enjoy the location of the restaurant, as it is convenient to hiking and nature trails, fishing and kayaking spots, maple sugar farms, and numerous winter activities including sleigh rides, dog sledding, snow tubing and skiing. Regardless of the season, the Riverside Restaurant is surrounded by opportunities to enjoy the outdoors and experience nature.
