Taste of Thai

Since 2001, the Taste of Thai has been dishing out Thai classics on the Commons downtown. The menu features salads, noodles and traditional curries. Try the steamed mussels in Thai chili, basil and garlic for a starter. Vegetarian, vegan and wheat-free items are available. Discounted lunch specials run Monday through Friday. Dinner is served nightly.

Ithaca Thai Cuisine

This Ithaca restaurant opened in 1988 when the Chiutintaranond family arrived from Bangkok. The family tradition continues with the fourth son at the helm. Ithaca Thai serves authentic dishes like the goong sate-shrimp marinated in coconut milk and spices, skewered, grilled and topped with peanut sauce and pickled cucumber. A vegetarian menu is available. Ithaca Thai Cuisine is open for dinner nightly. Lunch service is available on the weekends.

Sticky Rice

Sisay Sisouphane fled his home country of Laos by way of Thailand in the 1970s. Today he brings his culinary knowledge to Ithaca at Sticky Rice Carry Out. Serving classic Thai BBQ, curries and stir-fry dishes, Sticky Rice's menu also features his native Laotian food. There is an entire section of the menu devoted to the Laos' favorite-sticky rice--try it with spicy papaya salad. Sticky Rice is open Tuesday through Friday for dinner takeout. The restaurant is closed on Mondays. Delivery and on-line ordering are available.
