There are many parks for outdoor recreation in Lyndhurst and Bergen County. The town is about 20 minutes from New York City. Medieval Times Restaurant

Medieval Times Restaurant is a dining adventure. Designed to look like a castle, the restaurant is part of the Medieval Times chain. The menu, called the Bill of Fare, includes tomato bisque soup, roasted chicken, spare ribs, herb roasted potatoes, garlic bread, pastry desserts and beverages. While you dine you will be entertained by a show inspired by 11th-century Spain. Knights will show off their skill and athleticism as they take part in authentic jousting matches. If you'd rather enjoy more modern entertainment, the restaurant is just a 15-minute drive to midtown Manhattan.

Lentina's Italian Specialties is open seven days a week and has a decor reminiscent of Old-World Italy. Featured menu items include cold and hot sandwiches, spaghetti, linguine, rigatoni and pasta penne. Salads on the menu include pasta, fish, tuna, grilled vegetable and mozzarella.
