Rawlins, a small town in south-central Wyoming, boasts a number of different recreational activities in town or nearby, including fishing at High Savery Reservoir, boating at Seminoe State Park, rafting on the North Platte River, and touring portions of the historic Oregon and Mormon trails. If the weather isn't cooperating, consider touring the town's Frontier Prison or learn about local history at the Carbon County Museum.

Western Hills Campground

Western Hills Campground includes sites with full hookups (including 30 and 50 amp service, 35-channel cable TV and free Wi-Fi Internet), along with electric-only sites and sites with no hookups. Additional amenities include laundry facilities; miniature golf course; private, heated showers; playground; and horseshoe pits. The campground operates year-round, though there are limited services available from November through April.

RV World Campground

Though the RV World Campground caters to those working on nearby energy projects, this park also welcomes the public. This RV park features full-hookup (including 60-channel cable TV), water/electric-only and electric-only sites. Amenities include free Wi-Fi Internet access, free morning coffee, miniature golf course, horseshoe pits, pedal cars, playground, private showers and laundry facilities.

Rawlins KOA

The Rawlins KOA offers a number of RV sites along with traditional tent-camping sites. RV sites includes 50 amp electric service and free cable TV hookups. Campground amenities include free Wi-Fi Internet access, swimming pool, group activities, horseshoe pits, laundry facilities, playground and convenience store. The Rawlins KOA operates from April 1 through Oct. 31. This campground lies closest to High Savery Reservoir, home to numerous state-record tiger trout.
