Since 1945, the small town of Reynoldsburg, Ohio has been a stop for tomato connoisseurs. The small suburb of Columbus hosts the Reynoldsburg Tomato Festival every summer. The event features contests that judge who has the biggest tomatoes to the most oddly shaped tomatoes. The annual Tomato Festival ends its weekend of fun with crowning the Tomato Queen.

The Reynoldsburg area offers several campgrounds with RV sites to serve as your home base for enjoying the Tomato Festival and the other attractions in the vicinity.

Rippling Stream Campground

Rippling Stream Campground is located just south of Reynoldsburg. It provides RV campsites with electric and water hookups. Enjoy a refreshing nature hike on one of the campgrounds hiking trails and take a dip to cool off in the swimming pool on the premises. Rippling Stream offers its campers use of the onsite game room and playground.

A short drive from the campground is the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum in Pickerington, Ohio. The museum celebrates major contributors to motorcycling such as legendary stuntman Evel Knievel, multiple time motocross champion Jeremy McGrath, and many others. The Hall of Fame also displays motorcycles owned by celebrities and ones used in the movies.

Jackson Lake Campground and Park

Jackson Lake Campground and Park is a family-run campground situated on 64-acres of the lush Ohio countryside. The campgrounds offer more than 100 RV sites complete with hookups.

Recreational activities are plentiful at Jackson Lake. The centerpiece is a three-acre lake and fishing pond for catch-and-release fishing. If you are into more active pursuits, visit the sand volleyball courts for a spirited game. Jackson Lake offers its campers use of the onsite game room, snack bar, basketball court, and horseshoe pits.

Located a short drive from the campground is Slate Run Vineyard and Winery. Enjoy an afternoon tasting the different varieties of wines and learn about the vineyard's wine making process on a tour. Slate Run is open throughout the year but is closed on Sundays.

Buckeye Lake / Columbus East KOA

Buckeye Lake State Park is located due east of Reynoldsburg, Ohio. The park's 3,100-acre lake allows visitors recreational opportunities for boating, fishing, and swimming. If being in the water is not to your liking, lounge around on the public beaches circling Buckeye Lake.

Just outside of the park is Buckeye Lake / Columbus East KOA. The campground offers RV sites with hookups and even offers deluxe sites with patios. The KOA offers several amenities including a swimming pool, mini golf course, bicycle rentals, and even a giant-sized checkers and chess board.

The Dawes Arboretum is located a short drive from the campground and Buckeye Lake State Park. The arboretum has over 1,500 living plants in its 1,800 acres. You can take in the different plant species on the arboretum's hiking trails, observation tower, and on an auto tour.
