The city of Eagan is a southern suburb of St. Paul. The city is less than two miles from Lebanon Hills Regional Park, where travelers can wander over 2,000 acres and miles of trails. Other communities of the area have RV parks that provide camping with a large number of comforts, special amenities for RV travelers and great access to local recreation.

Town and Country Campground & RV Park

Town and Country offers sites with full hookups, cable television, wireless Internet service and phone hookups. Each spot comes with a picnic table and a fire pit can be rented for your site or you can enjoy free firewood at the community fire pit. A dump station is available for guest use. The park provides a heated pool and spa for on-site recreation, a camp store for necessities and a rec room for indoor entertainment. Bring along your pet and enjoy walks along Eagle Creek. Savage is less than 10 miles west of Eagan, while Historic Fort Snelling is about 10 miles north of the camp. The fort site includes special programs, bike routes and walking tours.

Dakotah Meadows RV Park

Dakotah Meadows RV Park has 122 paved sites with full hookups or camping in traditional tipis. Monthly promotions add to the value of your stay. The park offers plenty of extras for RV travelers, including a 24-hour fuel station, RV wash, convenience store and a guest laundry with key card access. The park provides an emergency storm shelter and a community pavilion holds picnic tables and grills adjacent to the park playground. A free shuttle service carries guests to two local casinos and Dakota! Sport and Fitness. Campers pay a small daily fee for access to the aquatic center and gymnasium at Dakota!, where visitors can ice skate, play squash and racquetball and try the rock climbing wall. Prior Lake is located 15 miles southwest of Eagan.

Shakopee Valley RV Park

Shakopee Valley RV Park is open seasonally, with over 100 shaded sites for RV travelers. Guests may select from full or partial hookups, rent by the day or by the month. A camp store and laundry facility are available for guest convenience. The park has an indoor pool and game room to entertain on cold or rainy days, paved trails for hiking or biking and a playground for the little ones. The city of Shakopee has a detailed brochure mapping the hiking, running and bike trails that unite the area. The town also features an ice arena and skate park, 19 miles west of Eagan.
