Carrollton offers numerous opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Nearby Atwood Lake offers boating, kayaking, swimming and other water activities and is also surrounded by miles of biking trails. Several golf courses are spread throughout the area, and Atwood Lake is also home to several historical museums, wineries and farms, some of which offer pick-your-own fruit.

Campers Paradise Campground

Campers Paradise Campground offers 150 sites, of which 100 are for tents and 50 for RVs. All sites have full hookups, including 20- or 30-amp electric. Most sites offer shade and you can choose between grassy or paved. An outdoor pool is available and guests also have access to hiking trails, horseshoe stations and other outdoor activities. Bathrooms and showers are available.

Twinvalley Campground

Of the 110 sites available at this campground, 20 are rustic and 60 have full hookups. The rest offer electric connections (30/50 amp service) only. Fire rings and picnic tables are available in a special area of the campground. Laundry room, bathroom and showers are open 24 hours, and guests also have access to a convenience store and a heated in-ground pool. Amenities include a recreation room, direct access to swimming spots in the river, a basketball court and a number of activities for children, including hayrides.

DiMinno's Twin Valley Campground

DiMinno's Twin Valley Campground has 150 sites; some with full hookups and some with 50-amp electric only. Bathrooms, laundry room and showers are available. The campground also offers a heated pool and guests are just a short drive away from the Brush Creek Wilderness Area, where boating, horseback riding, hiking and golf are all available.
