Famous for its annual Shakespeare Festival, Ashland is also known for its beautiful natural surroundings. The city is situated between the Cascades and the Siskiyou Mountains, making it an attractive place for the outdoor enthusiast. There are numerous nearby lakes to explore, such as Hyatt Reservoir and Emigrant Lake, which both have excellent RV parks nearby. In addition, you will find many opportunities for hiking and mountain biking.

Glenyan RV Park of Ashland

Glenyan RV Park is located just four miles away from Ashland, next to pretty Neil Creek. The RV park has 68 sites, some of which are set up for extended stays. Of the sites, 11 have full hookups, 35 have water and electrical hookups, while the remaining 22 sites have no hookups. Electric hookups at Glenyan are available at 20 or 30 amps. Facilities include nine pull-throughs, dump station, propane gas and a convenience store. This year-round RV park also has a swimming pool and a pavilion. Pets are welcome. Emigrant Lake is less than a mile away from Glenyan RV Park. Activities available at the lake include boating and fishing.

Howard Prairie Lake Resort

The Howard Prairie Lake Resort is right on Hyatt Reservoir in Ashland. The park has 272 sites--60 have full hookups, 87 have just water and 20- or 30-amp electric hookups, and the remaining sites have no hookups. In addition, the park has showers (for a fee), a dump station, laundry facilities, propane sales and a grocery store. The resort is open from mid-April to October 31. Pets are also welcome at the Howard Prairie Lake Resort as long as they are kept on a leash. Activities around the lake include fishing for rainbow trout or taking a sailboat out on the lake.

The Point RV Campground

The Point RV Campground is located right on Emigrant Lake, close to Ashland. The park has 32 sites in total, all with full hookups. Electrical hookups are available at 20, 30 or 50 amps. Other facilities include three pull-throughs, showers (for a fee), dump station and grills. The Point RV Campground is open from mid-March to mid-October, and pets are welcome. Emigrant Lake nearby for lake fishing or watching birds such as the Osprey as they dive for fish. In addition, there are numerous hiking trails around the lake.
