The park also includes laundry, showers and cable TV. To get a taste of the area, run over to Ankeny National Wildlife Refuge where you can hike and go birding for the day.

Albany/Corvallis KOA

The Albany/Corvallis branch of the KOA (Kampground of America) is located just outside of Independence. KOA campground and RV parks are nationally recognized, well-reputed and tough to beat on prices. This KOA includes RV sites, many of which are pull-through capable, cabins and tent pads, and free cable TV. To escape the family atmosphere at this KOA, you can rent a bike at the management office or stroll through the nearby Bowers Rocks State Park.

The Blue Ox RV Park

The Blue Ox RV Park is open to short- and long-term residents. Amenities include fully hooked-up RV sites with water, electric and cable TV. The facility also has a gym and a community kitchen and is close to an amphitheater that often has public events--especially in the summer. To get away from the park, simply take a drive over to Timber-Linn Memorial Park and have a stroll on the nature paths.
