The Half Moon restaurant is the only waterfront restaurant in Dobbs Ferry and it serves American fare. The Beach Bar has unmatched views of the Hudson and the Manhattan skyline. The produce served at this restaurant is locally grown and harvested. Half Moon serves dinner as well as Sunday brunch, and Friday is music and dance night. Though there is no full bar at this restaurant, there is an extensive beer and wine menu. Main dinner items include prime rib wedge, seafood enchiladas, lobster macaroni and cheese, tequila shrimp, filet mignon in red wine sauce, and pork chops.

Just 12 miles southeast of the center of Dobbs Ferry is On the Waterfront in New Rochelle. This moderately priced restaurant serves lunch, dinner and brunch, and there are happy hour festivities at the full bar. The Red Hat on the River is just two miles north of Dobbs Ferry and has exceptional waterfront views from its rooftop lounge area, patio and main dining room. The dining room is elegantly designed with warm colors, linen tablecloths, candlelit tables and tall windows that surround the entire main dining level. Large or small parties and gatherings can be arranged with the help of the resident director of special events. Keeping true to the theme of a European bistro, dinner entrees include salmon and lentils, lamb shank braised in white wine and Tunisian spices and seared spiced duck breast.
