Campgrounds Near Atlanta, Michigan
RV campers and outdoor lovers driving through Atlanta, Michigan, are in luck. They will find many campsites and parks to choose from, while those easily distracted by flora and fauna will have their hands full while exploring the trails of Clear Lake State Park, Grayling State Forest Area and Huron National Forest. There's also boating on Lake Huron's Thunder Bay.

Jacks Landing Resort

Spend the night 15 miles east of Atlanta at Jacks Landing. Guests choose between 15 sites, with a few spaces available for pull-through and big rigs. Hookups include 50-amp electric and water. Campers are responsible for their own sewage. The resort has a dump site, propane, toilets and showers as well as a camp store. There are also a restaurant and pub. Jacks Landing Resort sits along Fletcher Pond, popular with those who like to fish for largemouth bass, northern pike and panfish.

Gaylord KOA

The Gaylord KOA is located 30 miles west of Atlanta. One hundred sites are available with spaces that can accommodate big rig and pull-through RVs up to 75 feet. Hookups include 50-amp electric, Wi-Fi, water and sewer. The Gaylord KOA offers a swimming pool, bike rentals, basketball courts, mini-golf, shuffleboard, recreation hall, playground, campfire pits, LP gas and a camp store. Pets are welcome. The campground is bordered by a small river, and guests can take advantage of a river trail.

Thunder Bay Golf & RV Resort

Park the RV 20 miles northeast of Atlanta at the Thunder Bay Golf & RV Resort. Visitors will find 23 sites designed for both pull-through and big rigs. Hookups include 50-amp electric, water, sewer, Wi-Fi and cable television. The resort has tennis courts, a golf course, a restaurant, elk tours by horse-drawn carriage, hiking trails and canoe rentals. It's close to the Atlanta State Forest Area, where nature lovers can walk, hike and camp.
