Nolichucky Gorge Campground offers a bit of everything in a beautiful setting.
The site is on the river, with white water rafting tours available. Just to the south is calmer water for tubing and canoes. The campground is also 75 yards from the Appalachian Trail, with short or long hikes available. RV sites have full hookups, and there's a laundry facility. Primitive tent camping is available on the river, and there are cabins, a hostel and a bunkhouse for groups.

Grandview Ranch RV Park
Less than 10 miles from Erwin, near Unicoi, is a unique camping experience. The campground is surrounded by great views of the Smoky Mountains and is on a small lake. This place is unusual because there's a working horse ranch connected to the campground. Horse riding is available. There are full hookups for RVs, some tent sites and some sites on the water. Cable TV and phone are available. There's a new bathhouse as well. Grandview Ranch is relatively knew, not as well known and off the beaten path.

River View Campground
About 10 miles from Erwin near Jonesborough, the oldest town in the state, is the River View. This is also on the Nolichucky River, nestled in the hills of the Appalachians. White water rafting is a available, as well as calmer waters for tubing, canoeing, or fishing. RV sites have full hookups, and there are many tent sites along the river. There's also a grass landing strip for small airplanes.
