Dalles, Oregon RV Parks

Dalles, Oregon RV Parks
The Dalles, Oregon, is located just a short drive from the major metropolitan city of Portland. This town is located in the picturesque Columbia River Gorge where boating, fishing and camping opportunities abound. Similarly, this town is near the Pacific Crest Trail, a long-distance hiking trail stretching from the Mexico/U.S. border in California to the U.S./Canada border in Washington state. RV camping in the Dalles is a bit sparse, but there are a few options.

Green Haven RV Park

Green Haven RV Park, located just a short drive from The Dalles, is a small RV resort with 40 spaces for RVs, pop-ups, and expandable RVs. The sites all come with full hookups for water, sewer and electric. There is cable TV available, too. The park is located on a green stretch of land with a picnic area. To find recreational outdoor activities, grab a hiking pole and explore the Mount Hood National Forest where hiking trails abound.

Grant County Fairgrounds and RV Park

The Grant County Fairgrounds is, quite obviously, the location for the state fair. However, travelers in the Columbia River Gorge can make a quick stop here and find many RV park amenities. Even though it's a smaller location, this campground has 25 sites that are fully equipped to provide power, water and sewer services to RV campers. Once at the fairgrounds, check out the wide open spaces--which are great for picnicking--or take a short drive to the John Day Dam.
