Branson, Missouri, is renowned for its restaurants, theaters and music venues, but its location in the heart of The Ozarks Mountains and in lake country provides the town's visitors with opportunities for mountain climbing, biking activities and boating. Branson is less than five minutes from Mark Twain National Forest, a recreational area that provides facilities for camping, as well as paths for hiking. The mountainous and forested areas that surround Branson create an ideal setting for log cabin retreats.

The Cottage Resort

The Cottage Resort is a family-owned establishment that sits next to the Indian Point Boat Dock on Table Rock Lake, which provides opportunities for fishing and boating excursions. The cabins at Cottage Resort resemble a small community, and the resort offer amenities such as a fishing tackle shop, nature trails on the resort's grounds, storage space for boats, a campfire site, picnic area with barbecue pits, and an on-site deli and ice cream parlor. The Cabins at Green Mountain

The Cabins at Green Mountain, a Festiva Resort, are situated in the Ozark Mountains and are surrounded by tall cedar trees. The resort features two- or three-bedroom cabins that have a kitchen with dishwasher, washer and dryer, cable television with DVD player and a screened porch.

Other features include an exercise room, two outdoor swimming pools and Jacuzzis, and high-speed Internet in the resort's clubhouse. The cabins are near Lake Taneycomo, a 2,000-acre lake that provides fishing, boating and jet skiing. Camping and RV parking facilities surround Lake Taneycomo. Cabins at Green Mountain is also near Uncle Ike's Trail Ride, a company that offers guided horseback riding tours.

Lodges at Table Rock

Lodges at Table Rock is within close proximity of the Silver Dollar City entertainment area, as well as recreational areas such as Henning Conservation Area. The Henning Conservation Area features hiking and nature walk paths, such as the Streamside Trail and Glade Exploration Trail.

Lodges at Table Rock is less than 30 miles from Dogwood Canyon State Park, a site that provides opportunities for trout fishing, as well as paths for hiking and horseback riding. The cabins at Lodges at Table Rock feature four to six bedrooms and baths.

The four-bedroom cabins are ideal for family getaways, while the six-bedroom cabins can host family reunions or corporate retreats. Each cabin features washer and dryer units, a fully furnished kitchen, complimentary Wi-Fi Internet access and Nintendo Wiis and board games for your children's use.
