The civic boosters of Seabrook, Texas claim this coastal city is as "grand by land as by bay." Judging from the 11 miles of waterfront and 10 miles of hiking and biking trails, they may have a point. By sea, you can fly high above Galveston Bay on water skis or a parasail. By land, Seabrook's four sites along the Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail offer a chance to vicariously fly with pelicans, loons and other local species.
