Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park, located just outside the town limits of Pontiac in Goodfield, is a family-oriented campground and RV park. The site has 300 sites for RVs, many of which have the full hook-up for water and sewer, and the RV park is open year-round. The park also has cabins to rent and pop-up trailers to lease onsite. The campground hosts a number of activities throughout the year--many of which incorporate the local culture and history of northern Illinois. If wagon rides and fishing holes aren't enough outdoor fun, make sure to check out Effigy Tumuli State Park.

Glenwood RV Resort, situated a few miles from Pontiac, is another full-service RV park for long-term residents and short-term visitors. The park has ample space and sites for RVs, and most of the sites are paved with full hook-ups for your convenience. Starved Rock State Park is just down the road (16 miles away), and should be included on your itinerary while at Glenwood. Also nearby is the Beaver Dam Hiking trail--an excellent path to escape the modern, bustling town.
